First PHP Program

To start work on PHP you should know following-

  • PHP files can contain text, HTML tags and scripts
  • PHP files are returned to the browser as plain HTML after compiling PHP
  • PHP files have a file extension of ".php", ".php3", or ".phtml"
     

As you learn that PHP is all about to writing a command to the server. So we are going to give print command to the server. It will be your first PHP page. Go to our text editor at CodeLAB, select the language PHP and paste below code there-

echo "This is my first PHP Program.";
?>

Output:

This is my first PHP Program.
